dancegirl12step
Anyone have fouette secrets? I am embarrased to be surrounded by girls who can do 32 when the most I've ever done is 12. Edited September 21, 2010 by dancegirl12step Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
There really are no secrets to doing fouettés once you disallow practice as a secret! I find that students have an easier time of doing serial fouettés by taking the step back to the barre and practicing them there. Just start with one, and try to end it in a retiré and balance. Be careful not to skid the supporting foot out from under your center of gravity. Don't try to KILL the turn, just do one, stop, then do another one, stop, and another, and so on. Try that for now. Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted September 22, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted September 22, 2010 Welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers, balletgirl12step. There are a bunch of threads on fouettés here on the board. You might try a search right here on this forum. Quote Link to comment
