dedison95
When I went to get a new pair of slippers a few weeks ago the women said I had a very high instep. This is top of the foot, correct? I have medium to small arches and, apparently, a high instep with a medium profile. Will this make for unattractive feet when I begin pointe work? Mel Johnson
Strictly speaking, your foot doesn't have a profile, but your shoes do. Profile, when applied to ballet and pointe shoes has to do with the height of the vamp measured at the throat. I don't see why the description you've given can't make an acceptable foot. After all, it's not the way the foot looks when still; it's all about what it looks like in action. Quote Link to comment
