CherryadeCupcake
Up until September I hadn't a clue what turnout was to be quite honest, although I've been dancing since last September. I know which muscles to hold now but how do I keep my turnout held in exercises? I just seem to find it impossible to keep myself held when I'm dancing or doing any exercise Link to comment
vrsfanatic
Have you spoken with your teacher? Without seeing you it is quite difficult to give you any specific answer. Have you run a Search? I am sure there are many threads regarding how to hold your turnout in many forums. Type in turn out and see what pops up. There is already a wealth of information regarding this issue on BT4D. Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted October 26, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 You can also come up with lots of info by typing in rotation. You will most of the turnout and rotation topics on YD 13-16, YD 17-22, and the Adult Ballet Student forums. Link to comment
CherryadeCupcake
Thank you I didn't think about searching. Some friends at college who have been dancing longer than me gave me some exercises but I'm just looking for other exercises too Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted October 26, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 It's best to learn from teachers, Cherryade. Here on the YD forums the advise is given ONLY by our 5 highly qualified teachers. Some students may have posted on the topics, but they can only state their experience, not give advice.
