Schools for the Performing Arts?

Hi,

 

Are there any Pre-Pro high schools in Canada, that have boarding (if out of Toronto)?

 

Kind of like the Victoria Ballet Academy? (I can't go there. Too far away!

 

Any schools that mostly focus on dance, but still the normal schooling?

 

Any help would be great!

 

P.S- How many years do you have to have in pointe to be in one of these programs?

National Ballet School is right there in Toronto, with stellar training and academics. Have a read through this thread: Ballet Schools- Canada

 

The great thing about getting excellent training is that they will decide when a dancer is ready for pointework, and place them in pointe classes at that time.
