springflower
I recently went to RB's studio 2 series. They do studio series throughout the year. They like to do a classic, an older ballet, and a new work. I never realized how much I enjoy contemporary ballet. I'm not a fan of modern dance, but the ballet is so much better. They performed: * Valse Fantaisie by George Balanchine *After Eden by John Butler *A World Premiere by Colin Connor TheAfter Eden was crazy hard, and because of the skin toned body suits they wore, you could see every muscle moving. I did appreciate the new ballet as well. It used an interesting way of lighting and there were so many different things going on, as well as a lot of single sex partnering, lifting and support which was different. I really need to keep attending these. I'm right there but have rarely gone! Quote Link to comment
