Guy's Mail Order Dancewear UK

Hi Guys,

 

My local dance shop has closed down Grrr (OK the lady who ran it did not have much of an idea about men's dancewear, but she was helpful and would order anything from any catalogue).

 

So here is my question, do any of you UK based guys know of any UK based online dance retailers, who have a good selection of men's gear, reasonable turn around and prices.

Knock knock - not a guy but do know from the catalogue that Dance Direct seem to have a good range. Their prices are generally very reasonable and service has always been good.

Sorry I can't help in answering your question - in fact I have one for you...

 

I moved back to Durham a couple of months ago and would like to join your class. Can you tell me when and where it is and when term starts again? Also is the unifrom strict? ie do I need tights and dance belt? In York it was all very relaxed jogging bottom type of class.

Hi,

Welcome back to Durham! Good timing - classes start this week on Friday 16, at 6pm in the upstairs studio of the sports hall at New College at Framwellgate Moor. Last term there was also a Saturday morning class as well. The uniform is not stict, but the ladies all dress in appropriate ballet wear, so us guys tend to follow suit, so tights or leggings and tee or a unitard would be fine, and yip that means a DB, although from personal experience, they are not that comfortable but its reasuring to know that your not going to hurt yourself.

for the mens forum- just wanted to say I buy all the kit for my DS (14, 5 ' 8") and best website by far is Porselli- cheapest, great bargains, most extensive range of bloke gear and VERY fast turnaround (usually 24 hours or less). If they dont get it to you by 24 hrs phone them as it may mean stock problems.
