I adore that animation it's pretty tragic like ballet.

 

There is a video of the dancers live and interviews with the choreographer I remember seeing somewhere online.

That was beautiful thank you I am a little confused by the ending though? I thought maybe the woman was dead and he was dancing with her memory but at the very end, she solidifies and he seems to vanish? Sorry- I am a little emabarassed for not undersstanding but it was so beautiful I would like to know.

I think she represents the difficult-to-attain and unearthly, man pursues her and once he makes her real and *cough symbolically takes her purity *cough he abandons her.

In the making-of video on the animator's website, he says that he deliberately made the story open to interpretation, so that it can mean different things to different people. To me, she's his "one that got away"!

It's funny...I'm not sure why I like it so much, but I have watched it several times now and each time I see a slightly different interpretation.

 

Perhaps that's why I like it so much.

yes, that crossed my mind haha Serves him right that he then turns to a mere outline of a being- like he left his soul with her too!
