vaballetfan
I am a 40yr old looking to start taking ballet in Northern va. I want start in beginners classes and move up. I do not want to take your normal once a week adult class. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
It will probably be in your best interest to start with those once-a-week classes just to learn rudiments, then increase your classload as you become more familiar with the basics. This intro period should last only a month or two, then more classes can be added. We want to avoid injury, even from the ground up. Quote Link to comment

Hans
You might try Ballet Nova (http://www.balletnova.org) or if you're willing to travel into DC, the Washington School of Ballet (http://www.washingtonballet.org) or Joy of Motion (http://www.joyofmotion.org). Maryland Youth Ballet (http://www.marylandyouthballet.org) is a very good school that offers many classes, but they are in Silver Spring, so I'm not sure if that's too far away for you.
