Angela
Does anyone know anything about the National Ballet in Prague? It looks like they have an interesting rep, but it is hard to tell about the level... If anyone has any knowledge please share! Planning a last minute European audition trip Quote Link to comment
diane
If it is the one I think it is, as far as I have heard, the level is relatively high. I think one has to have an "invitation" to audition, as with most European companies. -d- Quote Link to comment
Redbookish
If the ballet company you're referring to is the company whose home is at the National Theatre in Prague, it's part of the major national house of the Czech Republic. The National Theatre houses the three national companies: theatre, opera, and ballet. This is standard European practice eg Covent Garden houses the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera company. The standard is of world standard, as for any major national ballet company in a country with a very long and rich arts heritage. Quote Link to comment
Angela
Thank you very much for replying. I already have the invitation but it is of course a big expense... Quote Link to comment
