shedancedallnight
So. I'm trying to find a ballet school in which I can learn to dance professionally. Right now I'm taking about 10 hours a week of classes (not all of them are ballet). I go to a very small ballet studio and unfortunately at the moment I'm taking every single class I can. The problem is, we can barely afford this studio. I'm stuck. I really want to progress to something more serious but we don't have the money... Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted October 31, 2012 Administrators Report Share Posted October 31, 2012 Welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers, shedancedallnight. I'm sorry to hear that you have not been able to get more training. It is indeed expensive. Are there pre-professional schools in you area? If you, it would be a good idea to go and try out a class there. If they accept you, you could ask for a scholarship, or financial help on a work-study program, if they have one. Sometimes these programs are not that much more expensive than smaller schools, and you won't know unless you try. We wish you the best of luck in your search! Quote Link to comment
