Sale-el-sol
I have recently started weight-bearing after a bad lateral ankle sprain that I sustained in ballet class. Are there any exercises I can do (while the ankle is still a little swollen/tight) that will help my ankle range of motion (Especially my point) get back to where it was before? I always had such a beautiful point and now can't even flex my foot! Thank you Quote Link to comment
Clara 76
Welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers, Sale-el-sol!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you came here for help. The first thing you will need is a Physical Therapist. They will evaluate your particular injury and offer you a series of exercises that are safe to do at a given time. What you'll need from us is moral support!!!! We have been through this, and much more, and what I want you to know is that you CAN come through this and restore your foot! HOWEVER, you must have patience, and you must do exactly as your doctors tell you. That may mean missing out on a few opportunities while you are healing, but bear in mind that all dancers have to deal with this at some point. Quote Link to comment
