Ballet Talk for Dancers

What are the different "personalities" of ballet school?

I overheard some people talking about how some studios have different attitudes or styles or personalities (not methods like Vaganova or RAD). I just wanted to know what some of those attitudes or personalities are so I can find a nice fit for myself while searching for another studio. Thanks!

The tone of any business is usually set from the top, ie, the owners or directors. One would hope for a friendly, gracious, and caring atmosphere, but still highly organized and disciplined. If the people at the top are not very congenial, then it might be a good idea to keep looking!
