Guest Missmary Posted April 12, 2013 Report Share Posted April 12, 2013 "Maria Tallchief" was the first "ballerina name" I ever heard - my mother saw Miss Tallchief perform when she was touring with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo - it must have been during the mid forties. One of the treasures that disappeared over the years was the program Miss Tallchief autographed for my mother. I didn't come across it when we cleaned out mother's home, though I searched carefully. I've always felt a connection to Miss Tallchief, as if she was the beginning of the generational thread that lead me, my daughter and my granddaughter to dance. Quote Link to comment
