When properly aligned, does the back make a S curve or a strait line? Also, what does it mean for the pelvis to "tuck"?

It does not make an S curve, but not is there a totally straight line, if you consider that the gluteous maximus exists. It should be as straight as one can make it without tucking. Tucking under is when you pull the buttocks under, tipping the pelvic bones back. It causes you to sit in your hips and is not something one should ever do.
