dancypants1
We had planned to go to the gallery today for my oldest to meet a friend, and since often the talks and tours change and are marvelous, I looked at what was available and saw this listed. We went to a short lecture on the Ballet Russe, and saw the exhibit, but only briefly as we were also slated for another talk older DD wanted to hear- she isn't a dancer, and it was her trip with her friend, we were just tagging along. There are exquisite costumes, actual footage of dancing, set design models, its incredible! We are planning to return on July 13, when Kirov Academy is performing pas from Firebird and...something else, at the gallery. Washington Ballet already performed, and another company is slated for later as well. If you are in the DC area, I highly recommend. Like the rest of the mall museums, it is also *free*- can't beat that! Quote Link to comment
