MKat
I was doing the frog and butterfly stretches when I started getting painful cramps in my inner thighs. Is it common/normal that the inner thighs would be worked too or am I stretching incorrectly? Edited November 27, 2013 by MKat Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted November 27, 2013 Administrators Report Share Posted November 27, 2013 Welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers, MKat! If you are tight in that area, it would be common for some stretching type minor pain, but I don't think you should get cramping. I would discontinue those stretches, especially the frog, which is one we don't recommend anyway because it is hard on the knees. The butterfly is more controlled stretching, but I would stop that too and see if the cramping goes away. After a few days very gently try again on that one. Just open the knees and press slightly down, but don't bounce it. Quote Link to comment
