starlightdreamer
This past Thursday (yesterday), I had minor eye surgery to remove a chalazion, a clogged tear duct much like a stye. I am totally recovered from the surgery now, but my eye is very swollen. My problem is that I have an audition I am planning on attending this coming Sunday afternoon. I can still dance because the surgery didn't affect any other part of my body but my face, but would it be considered unprofessional to show up with an eye close to (but not) swollen shut? Just looking for some advice on this matter. Thank you!! P.S. Feel free to move this to another forum if it doesn't belong here. Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 18, 2014 Administrators Report Share Posted January 18, 2014 Ballerinakat, if it is still swollen and almost shut on Sunday, go to the audition, but explain to the auditioner before class, if you possibly can, that you look different right now because of the eye, but that is very temporary.
