Guest heavenlydancer
How normal is it to have competition within a studio? At my studio, we dont exactly get along the best and i personnally think its shows up in the attitude and the way we dance in class. Is it normal for us dancers to be down each others throats and be very hostile? We get along from time to time but its not like were good friends and most of the time its just a fake i have to like you attitude Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted July 3, 2002 Administrators Report Share Posted July 3, 2002 I don't think that is normal at all! Nor is it healthy, and it's certainly not condusive to positive training. I have taught for many years, and I have never had this problem. The students in our classes become very good friends and are very, very supportive of each other. I'm sorry to hear that it is not like that at your school. Perhaps you could be the one to create a change in atmosphere by being friendly and especially by being supportive of the other dancers! Link to comment
