RocknRollBallerina
I have had the same soft shoes for years (they are leather and built to last) and they still fit quite well and look nice on my feet, however the suede on the bottom has become quite worn and slippery. (I dance on wood floors) A friend of mine who is a competitive highland dancer says that when her highland shoes get that way, she roughs up the bottoms with sandpaper so they have more grip. Could I do the same with my soft shoes? Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted September 7, 2015 Administrators Report Share Posted September 7, 2015 Are highland shoes suede on the bottom? If so, then why not? But I don't know if it works on suede or not, since I have never had highland shoes! Quote Link to comment
Clara 76
Actually what works great as well is a wire brush! You can get them through Freed of London. Quote Link to comment
RocknRollBallerina
Thank you! Also, to answer Ms. Leigh's question about highland shoes, from what I've seen they have suede soles but they are a little thicker than the soles of ballet slippers. Quote Link to comment
