Dance Magazine College Guide 2015-2016

I was wondering if anyone knows how they choose the colleges that are listed in there for undergraduate programs. Are they essentially advertisements? I just bought a copy and, for example, University of South Carolina that has a classical ballet program and was featured in a previous Dance Magazine is not in there. Duke University also has classical ballet but does not have a section.

I understand that they cannot list every college.

It just doesn't seem like something you can use as a complete resource.

Many of the places that have listings are very small colleges I have never heard of.

They do have a section at the back listing many more universities in small print.

Workmail, I'm not sure if they have to pay to be listed prominently, but I do think that they have to submit information to Dance Magazine . Perhaps Duke and SC did not send in any info and some of the very small colleges did? I don't know, but that is my theory. :)

Schools pay to be in it. That's why its not comprehensive.
