My new pointe shoes

I am obsessed with some dance ideas I'd like to explore. I do not want to go into details here (to save face), but en pointe is involved, and I have come to the conclusion that the only way to test the ideas is to learn en pointe. I have made some enquiries about attending en pointe classes next autumn, and it should be possible.

To reach my goal, this morning I had my first fitting session. And guess what, the first pair I tried was perfect. This is a really strange feeling, since I've heard horror stories about how painful it is to be en pointe, but my experience was totally different. The shoes are most comfortable. Standing on my toes is ridiculously easy.

The only thing I don't like abouf my new shoes is the color - pink is way too gross. I guess I need a couple of textile marker pens to sort that out.

Sounds like fun! I don't know why more men don't go on pointe. So many interesting possibilities when you step away from traditional gender norms. If you aren't already familiar with Mark Morris, check him out.

Black shoes with pink tip - SUPER GROSS! Black pig pointe!

Maybe I'll just stick with pink. Besides, pink shoes are lighter than black ones.
