My son is younger than yours so I am not sure how much you want my advice, but I am pretty sure our boys are together this summer. In my opinion, the program I think you are talking about is probably going to be most beneficial and appropriate when he is older, and I don't think the program or opportunity is going anywhere. In my view it looks like a program that is really geared to the older and more advanced students. 

Yes, people move heaven and earth to come for training, but other people find solid training where they live, and it sounds like that is an option for you.
