Easy one, Tanya - some schools don't differentiate between the two in French, but all recognize the difference.

 

Elevé is a simple rise to demi-pointe or higher from a position à terre, and relevé is a "pop-up" to accomplish the same thing.:)

And the "pop up" comes from a demi plié, whereas the simple rise is from straight legs :)
