AngelaY
Whenever I do fouettes, I always hop into demi pointe instead of releve. Sometimes when I don't hop into it, my foot skids under me and I move an inch. How do I have a consistent releve when I fouette? Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 6, 2018 Administrators Report Share Posted January 6, 2018 Welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers, AngelaY. Practice the relevés without the turn. While there is not a 'hop' in a relevé, there is a tiny spring that brings the foot under your center. This prevents traveling. Please visit our Welcome site and tell us a bit about yourself and your training in ballet. The more we know about you, including your age, length of training, quality of training (such as pre-pro school, SI programs, number of days and hours per day, etc.), the more we will be able to help you.
