Hi all,

Whenever I try doing a pirouette, my leg is not very turned out. On the other hand, when I’m doing a plié, for example, my legs are much more turned out. I’ve had other people tell me this as well and I do not know why. I try to turn out more but it’s almost impossible.

Any tips? :P

Kitty, we have a ton of topics here on pirouettes, and on rotation. Please spend a little time reading!

If you have good rotation in your pirouette position when not turning, then it will not be “impossible” in a pirouette....IF you have been trained correctly and understand HOW to execute all of the basics that create a pirouette.
