Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 24, 2002 Administrators Report Share Posted August 24, 2002 It's THAT time again! ;) Just in case you haven't read it, I thought I might bring up this link for you. It's an article from The Studio section of Ballet Alert! Online which you might find helpful as you begin a new ballet year! www.balletalert.com/studio/backtoschool.htm Link to comment
Guest Medora
Thank you for that article. I first read it about a week ago and it really inspired me!! Does focusing mean not thinking about what's going on outside of ballet when your in the studio, or not joking around at all in class? I think only aboutballet when I'm inclass but our class is so small (about 5 people) that we joke around a lot. This is probably a dumb question, but when people say focus, what exactly do they mean? Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 25, 2002 Author Administrators Report Share Posted August 25, 2002 When you focus on something you are looking only at that one thing. In class it's like keeping yourself totally concentrated, or focused, on the work. It doesn't mean that there can't be moments of comaraderie, however even those should relate to the work and not be about something that is outside of ballet. Link to comment
