would one less class hurt?

I am in a bit of a dilema. This year I will be mainly in the second to highest (4) and third to highest (3) levels with one class a week combined with the highest level (5). That would be 6 technique classes each week. Level 3 technique classes are on flat with the lat 15-45 minutes on pointe and the other technique classes are where you do barre on flat and the rest of the class is on pointe. I don't know if you would call that a technique class, but it's not pointe because we have seperate pointe classes. Anyway, on Tuesday I can either take a ballet 3 class or at my church I can take a missionary training class. I want to be a dancer when I grow up, but if that doesn't work out I want to be a missionary. I know my ballet teacher wouldn't mind if I didn't take that class, but I was wondering if I would fall behind without it. If I took it would it really help a LOT, or do you think it wouldn't matter missing that class. I want to go away to a residency program next year, so I want to get as good as I can, but I also want to go to the class at my church. The missionary training is always that day of the week at the same time as ballet and they only have the class at that time. I would really appreciate your opinion on my situation! Thanks! :)

Alliecat, if you are planning on going away to a residency program next year, then I have to assume that ballet is first and formost on your priority list. Other things can come later, ballet really can't. It might not be critical to miss one class a week right now, but if you took it, it might make things enough better for you to get a better SI placement and also a better chance at acceptance to a residency program. I would not jeopardize this for something that can easily be done later.
