Residency Training Fall 2020 and Coronavirus

My DD is due to begin a residency program this Fall. We as a family as concerned about sending her due to the unknown with Covid-19. Are any other families out there grappling with making a decision like this?  We have non dancing son at a University in New England which has not yet made the decision whether they will resume academic classes in person this Fall, or whether they will continue on-line. This isn't helping us with the decision making process.

Hi-Yes, we are having the very same debate, and we have to decide by Friday. Very stressful. We're nervous about sending her when things are so uncertain, but we're also not keen to pay the relatively high cost of a virtual program as we just don't have the space in our house for her to dance full out. It's hard to make a decision with so many unknowns--DD has not even visited the campus in person at this point. So, no answers, but you're not alone!

We are in the same boat. Thoughts are all over the place right now.

Our program has given us an option to begin in January. A big relief not to have to make a decision right now.

We had to decide too, and ugh it was very hard.  Both DKs got an invite to a school in Europe. The older one (17) accepted (ACK!), but the younger had hers converted to a short stay.  We will of course not send him if something worries us too much.   The school is in a location not far from close family members, which made a big difference in our decision.  But Covid19 made an already awful decision even tougher.
