svemaus
Hello! For about 1 month now I've had pain in the big toe of my right foot. It's not the whole toe but just the left part next to the toenail. It seems to be inflamed. Is that an ingrown toenail (I actually don't have any pain in my toenail) or could it be something else? I have already consulted my doctor, but he doesn't seem to know either what is going on . In Germany there are no podiotrist (sp?) and we don't even know that something like that exists  . Thanks for your help, Svenia Link to comment
Mel Johnson
That sounds like an ingrown toenail, Svenia, but since it's a persistent condition, I'd take it to your regular physician, and see what s/he can do for you. You might even get a referral to a foot specialist. Another name for podiatrist, out of use in the US, is "chiropodist", as they used to deal with afflictions of the hand, as well as feet! Does that ring any bells in German? Link to comment
svemaus
Wow, thanks a lot, Mjr. Johnson! Chiropodist is how the German call them. I didn't know that. I'm going to make an appointment and see what they think about my toe ;) Thanks, Svenia Link to comment
