Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted November 10, 2002 Administrators Report Share Posted November 10, 2002 Young Dancers, this topic is just to remind you that it is almost always a good idea to consult your teachers about which summer programs might be best for you at this point in time. Some students are ready to work in a totally different method or style, and others are not, and it would be a good idea to have your teacher's thoughts on this. There are so many auditions and so many options these days, and I think it is very hard for young dancers and their parents to know which programs would be best suited for their level and ability at any given moment in time. Also, for those who are older, like 16-18, it's important to think about programs with schools connected to companies where you might have a realistic chance of a position some day.
