Guest ballet_lover_nc Posted November 10, 2002 Report Share Posted November 10, 2002 hi everyone! i have been away for a while but am back now! i am really flexible everywhere but not in doing side splits. when im warmed up, i can do them when you have your belly flat on the floor i can get down, but when i try ti sit up, my legs dont stay in sidesplits!. i was wondering, do you know any good stretches for improving flexibility in the hip joints? If you are flexible "everywhere", that would indicate there is flexibility in the hip joints. What might be missing here is the rotation, or the strength to hold the rotation. Could this be the case, do you think? If so, then you need to work primarily on rotation, rather than flexibility. Link to comment
