Mel Johnson
Melissa, take a crochet hook with the very smallest size crook in it, and put it into the channel. Hook the errant string with it, and pull it right out! Then hang on to that little crochet hook, you may need it again, or be able to help someone else! Link to comment
Guest Meliss
i tried the crochet hook, i have a tiny crochet hook, but what does it hook onto? so that it can pull out? the hook just slips off the elastic string...i'm sorry. i'm a mess when it comes to all this stuff! Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Just keep fishing around in there. There has to be some woven stuff on the string that you can snag. And I mean a tiny crochet hook, about the size you would use to crochet with thread! My great-aunt was a professional crochetist and had all sizes of hooks. I can't recall the number of the very smallest size, but it was very, very small! Link to comment

Mel Johnson
That's what we're here for. I used to carry one of those things around with me, not so much for myself, but for other people. I made some good friends that way! Link to comment
