balletboyrhys Posted September 1, 2006 Report Share Posted September 1, 2006 i totally know what you mean! i found the book randomly for quite cheap one day. such a treasure! her insights on technique and anecdotes about balanchine and what he liked were really interesting! while i did really enjoy this book, manuals about how to dance always kind of worry me. i guess its just the thought of an untrained person attempting ballet out of a book! They are reference books only! You are right, trying to learn ballet out of a book is not possible. Quote Link to post
