Guest dance4life87
Since summer intensives are supposed to be really great help for a dancer over the summer, how much are they even really different from normal classes? Other then that they go to professional schools for it, how hours a day do girls dance there when they go to these things? and about how many hours a week? Link to comment
Mel Johnson
The classes in themselves are not really different, it's just that you take more of them, and they're usually taught by teachers you don't normally have access to. Sometimes material is taught that is not available at your local school, say as in modern or character, and jazz. For a middle-of-the-road schedule for a typical day at a typical summer course, see: http://www.ameracademyofballet.com/html/frameset.shtml Click on Summer School in the left hand frame, then general information and scroll down that page for a typical day.
