Guest scuffite
Sometimes lately when I stretch my left leg, I feel a pain going down the whole leg. It feels like when you hit a wrong nerve. Would appreciate if it someone could tell me what it is caused by and how should I prevent it. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
That sounds like a hamstring. All that can be done is to make sure that the legs are well-warmed-up and as flexible as possible before stretching. What are you doing and when does this symptom appear? Before class? After? Instead of? Quote Link to comment
Guest scuffite
Thanks for the reply! It happens when I am doing my stretches before class. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
OK! There it is. Just modify your pre-class stretches to the gentler ones, and relegate the ones that provide the pain to the post-class "warm-down" - I think you'll find that the pain will be gone! Quote Link to comment
