Guest ballet princess
hi. i'm sorry if this is kind of an inappropriate question. Well, I have a dance test tomorrow. We have to make up a short warm up. About 1-2 min. long. I really need help! We're aloud to do pretty much any dance form. The whole purpose of the test is to see how well we can put steps together, count music, how creative we are, and how much fun we can make it. So can someone help me make up a routine? Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 14, 2003 Administrators Report Share Posted January 14, 2003 ballet princess, I'm sorry, but that is really not something we can do for you in this format! We don't know what kind of class it is, and what kind of work you do in that class. Also, 1 to 2 minutes is really just one combination, so I think that should not be too difficult for you to do! Decide whether you are doing ballet, or jazz, or modern, and then select which area of the warm up you are concentrating on, and make a combination. In ballet most combinations are in simple phrases of 8 measures, and there should be like 4 phrases, or 8 phrases, 16 phrases or 32 phrases for it to be musically even. Link to comment
