The weakness is only relative weakness, when you compare yourself to stronger students. You're a fairly new student, and so the perception is heightened by the newness. Actually, it's a combination of things, mostly led by what airplane pilots call "unusual attitude." It's scary to be asked to balance in retiré early in your studies, and find that you can't get a balance on one leg! A lot of balance is in your back muscles and in your frontal abdominals. So it's just getting everything coordinated that makes balance such an elusive quality. Quote Link to comment
